Week after week, our team receives and showcases stunning weddings from across Houston, all courtesy of the immensely talented wedding vendors and lovely couples who submit to us. Each month, our editorial team selects one spectacular wedding to highlight, one that stands above the rest for its uniqueness and beauty.

For April, we’re featuring Mackenzie and Trent’s romantic garden party wedding, complete with soft spring hues, layered florals, and timeless details that felt both elevated and inviting. The two tied the knot in a celebration that beautifully balanced intentional design with meaningful moments shared alongside their closest family and friends.

The Wedding Day

After a joyful rehearsal dinner at The Woodlands Country Club, Mackenzie began her wedding day surrounded by her closest people, soaking in every moment leading up to the ceremony. She slipped into a timeless gown with subtle texture, a look that felt effortlessly elegant and perfectly in line with the soft, refined aesthetic of the day.

During a stunning outdoor ceremony at Sandlewood Manor, Mackenzie and Trent exchanged vows beneath towering trees and surrounded by lush, garden-inspired florals. Following the ceremony, guests transitioned into cocktail hour where they enjoyed passed appetizers by LaRue Culinary.

Inside the reception, the garden party vision came to life through layered details and soft, thoughtful design. Rentals from The Vintage Dish played a key role in bringing the tablescape together, with delicate vintage plates adding charm and character to each place setting. As Mackenzie shared, “Vintage Dish was perfect for us, it really tied the centerpieces and light and airy feel altogether.”

Guests then sat down to a beautifully curated dinner by LaRue Culinary, with a menu that blended elevated comfort and variety—from a Caesar salad bar and French fry bar to street tacos, carved beef tenderloin, and sweet late-night treats. One of the standout design moments of the evening was the cake by Cakes by Gina, featuring vintage-inspired piping and delicate floral details with subtle pops of color.

As the night continued, entertainment by Elevated AV Production brought the celebration to life, keeping the dance floor full while guests enjoyed passed milk and cookies from LaRue Culinary, a nostalgic late-night treat that added the perfect finishing touch to an unforgettable day!

Mackenzie & Trent’s Favorite Moment

“We had so many favorite moments, it feels unfair to narrow it down,” Mackenzie shares. “From giving my parents letters, to dancing with my bridesmaids, to seeing all of our favorite people in one place, I just know I will never get to experience something that special again.”

One of the most meaningful moments came during their ceremony.

“One of my favorite moments was during our ceremony, when Trent and I were wiping away each other’s tears after the worship song played… we both wept the whole time.”

As they entered the reception, the energy shifted into full celebration.

“I also loved running into our reception hall and feeling the joy explode from all corners of the room! My heart was bursting.”

To end the night, Mackenzie and Trent shared one final private moment together.

“Our private last dance… Trent is my best friend and getting to dance with him one last time was something I will always cherish.”

Mackenzie also reflected on what she learned throughout the planning process:

“Planning a wedding truly takes a village… while the wedding day is special, it’s the marriage itself that holds the greatest meaning. The wedding truly is just a big celebration with all of the people that matter to us.”
