The votes are in, and we officially have our 2026 Wed Society | Houston Wedding of the Year! We’re SO excited to celebrate Halla Baassiri and Mark Ehrlich, whose unforgettable wedding at Chateau Nouvelle captured hearts and earned the winning title!
After going head-to-head with this year’s incredible Vows That Wow featured weddings through our Instagram Stories voting competition, Halla and Mark’s celebration came out on top! From breathtaking details and meaningful traditions to unforgettable guest experiences, this wedding was truly one for the books.
And the excitement doesn’t stop here! Their celebration will now move on to be considered for Wed Society’s 2026 National Wedding of the Year!

A Celebration Worth Remembering
Held on October 11, 2025, at the breathtaking Chateau Nouvelle, Halla and Mark’s wedding was filled with romance, personal touches, and a little extra magic! With its stunning architecture, beautifully landscaped grounds, and elegant indoor and outdoor spaces, this Houston wedding venue provided the dreamiest backdrop for their celebration.
With the help of Two Be Wed, the couple brought their vision to life with gorgeous florals, a dramatic ceremony setup by Elevated AV Production, LLC, and a fairytale-worthy horse-drawn carriage entrance. One of the most memorable moments? Their grand reception re-entrance alongside a traditional Lebanese Dabke dance team, honoring Halla’s heritage and bringing incredible energy to the celebration!
The thoughtful details continued with interactive guest experiences from 360 Events Photo Booth, including a Glam Bot, roaming photography, and photo booth fun. Every unforgettable moment was beautifully captured by Erika Geier Photography.
When asked what she learned from planning her wedding, Halla shared a sentiment we couldn’t agree with more:
“The difference between a good wedding and a great wedding is found in the details.”
