Combining a sleek, refined backdrop with punchy hues and trendy decor, we’re taking endless amounts of inspiration from this luxe tropical wedding captured by Awake Photography! Set at The Astorian, bride and groom Delaney and Ryan brought their wedding paradise visions to life with the help of expert planning from Love Detailed Events. Staples in the venue’s fixtures in rich colors of inky black and deep mahogany wood set the tone for an elaborate backdrop, with the perfect juxtaposition in the poppy, thematic decor. Flower Vibes created simple yet eye-catching floral decor through giant fronds and banana leaves both as center pieces and as a table runner on the wedding party table! Blooms were kept simple with white orchids and arrangements of peach, blush and ivory florals for bouquets and smaller table displays. A gorgeous five-tier white and gold embellished cake was topped with an elegant hand-crafted monogram from Who Made the Cake. Aside from the elaborate decor of the venue, the vision of the evening was the beautiful bride in a strapless sweetheart neckline and tulle Romona Keveza gown from Casa de Novia, complete with natural makeup and an elegantly swept updo by Hey Lovely Makeup. From the bride: “We met our first week of freshman year of college. We lived in the same apartment building and spent a lot of time together but were always just best friends. Over a year later, I eventually came to my senses and let Ryan out of the friend-zone. We had been together almost six years by our wedding day! While we were on vacation in Laguna Beach, California, he proposed to me there on the beach! After the proposal, I saw both of our families in the distance – they had flown in to surprise me and spent that special night with us!
Our wedding day was so amazing! St. Anne’s is a very special place for us, and The Astorian is the most breathtaking venue! Everything felt like the most perfect representation of who we are and we can’t thank our awesome vendors enough for helping us make that happen!”
