Dara and Matt’s whimsical bohemian wedding at a private family home outside Houston was filled with so many special touches like gorgeous custom painted tambourines for the bridesmaids and a cigar and scotch bar for the guys! Dara’s bridal look was perfect with beautifully natural hair and makeup by Blushworthy. Did we mention how obsessed we are with Dara’s custom denim jacket?! The colorful flowers by Flora & Fauna covered the ceremony tree and lined the tabletops in a refreshing palette of dusty blues, pinks and mauves, and the team at LG Event Entertainment and Production kept the party going! Dara and Matt first met for drinks while living in Southern California. They talked for hours about how they grew up, their families, jobs, baseball, ballet, and everything in between. They shut the place down! The couple was preparing for an upcoming trip to Italy when Matt popped the question. Matt said he went out to the store to grab a few groceries, but what he was really doing was calling Dara’s parents for permission and buying champagne! When he got home, he slyly set up a camera, told her he’d forgotten something, and asked her to marry him on bended knee. She jumped into his arms, kissed him, and said yes!
Their best friend and Matt’s college roommate officiated the intimate ceremony in front of 90 of their closest family and friends. They shared a last dance to “Home Is In Your Arms” by White Buffalo while their guests surrounded them on the dance floor with sparklers in-hand.
