Tornado Warnings Didn’t Stop This Romantic Crimson Wedding

Brittany London and Connor Young had dreamt of their romantic crimson wedding day for months, but when the big day finally rolled around, it came with thunder storms and tornado warnings! Although this provided a less than ideal situation, the couple didn’t let it stop them from having the most perfect day. From the romantic maroon reception details, luscious florals from Flora + Fauna, and adorable donut celebration at the reception, we are absolutely swooning over The Young’s big day. And after seeing Brittany in her stunning bridal gown from Whittington Bridal, we’d definitely shed a tear just like Connor did (you’ve got to see this sweet moment captured on film!). Cheers to the Young’s!

From the bride about her wedding day: “Our wedding day was a dream come true, but it wasn’t without stress. In the morning through the early afternoon, there were major storms in the area that caused significant street flooding and tornado warnings. It was so bad that it took Connor an extra hour to get to the venue due to flooded streets, and the power went out for a few minutes just as the hairstylist started on my hair. Though it was tempting to break down at that point, my mom, mother-in-law and closest friends rallied around me and encouraged me to be positive and were confident everything would work out. They were right. Two hours before the ceremony, the sky began to clear and the flooding receded enough for our friends and family to make it to the venue. The wonderful venue staff came out and cleared debris and dried sidewalks. Amazingly, as Connor and I said our vows, the sun came out and shone through the windows of the chapel. It was an undeniably special moment and something we will never forget. By the time the ceremony was over, the sky had completely cleared, and it was a beautiful evening for cocktail hour and pictures. From there, the night was a dream-like blur for both of us, but we distinctly remember all the love and laughter in the room and wouldn’t trade it for anything! In retrospect, despite the weather, it was a truly perfect day with all of our favorite people.”
