This Houston couple brought all the style (and so much adorable chemistry) to their chic studio engagement session with photographer Weddings by Westy – plus, styled with elegant décor from Party Time Rentals! Leslie and Brant’s story began when they first met through Instagram a few years back, when Brant followed Leslie since the two had several mutual friends. For about a year, they made small talk, and Brant would try to arrange a time for them to meet in person with the recurring issue of him being in Dallas and Leslie in Houston. They finally coordinated a time to meet and their first date took place in August of 2019. With easy-flowing conversation and natural chemistry, the pair just clicked and have been together ever since! Now, they are excitedly planning their December destination wedding in Cancun, sticking to a neutral palette and boho theme, filled with pampas grass. One of Leslie’s favorite details though, she says, is her dream wedding dress which she found almost a year in advance! We can’t wait to see how radiant she looks walking down the aisle in it. If you couldn’t already tell by their adorable engagement pictures, Weddings by Westy says this Houston couple both have smiles that light up the room, and their love for each other is absolutely undeniable. Their giggles are known to be contagious and we are so excited for their tropical nuptials to come! Read on for a note from the soon-to-be bride about how he popped the question. Cheers!

From the bride-to-be: “The night of my birthday, October 2, Brant made a dinner reservation at McCormick & Schmick’s because oysters are my favorite food. Our table was draped off with a curtain, so we were very private and secluded. He had my birthday present sitting next to him – I had my eye on a certain purse for a while, so I really thought that was what I was going to open. I pulled out a black picture book that had a different photo of us on each page with the dates written underneath them. After a few page turns, for a split second, I thought a proposal might be coming, but he hadn’t moved yet so I began to get confused. On the very last page, it was blank and read ‘Engaged – 10/2/20.’ He came over to my side of the table and got down on one knee, I went into complete shock, and we were both crying. We walked across the street to have a celebratory drink, and both of our families were waiting there for us with cake and balloons.”
