See Moonstruck Events Set the Mood in this Boho Wedding Scene

Looking to set the mood to create your dream wedding vibe? A Houston wedding planner takes us inside a beautiful, local wedding design and the inspiration behind it! Courtney Wilson of Moonstruck Events transforms an open, industrial space to the coziest boho wedding scene with warm textures and tones that establish a trendy, welcoming vibe.

Explains Courtney: “Everything tied together just like we had envisioned, from the terracotta place cards to the pampas grass and palm fans in the ceremony backdrop and bouquet, to the wicker chargers and warm tones on the table setting. All of the elements coming together gave the perfect southwestern boho feel.”

“We wanted more of a classic bohemian look with a southwest twist,” Courtney said. “We drew inspiration from warm and earthy elements and the natural surroundings of the venue.”

Dried ruscus and palm fans were added into lush, sand-toned floral installations by All The Pretty Things HTX which worked to set the desert-inspired mood.

“My favorite details were the hand-calligraphed place cards from Le Le Lines. I love how she used the terracotta saucer to make unique, one-of-a-kind place cards for the tablescape. Place cards are one of my favorite things because they are small accents but can level up your decor,” Courtney says.

On the topic of small details that make a big difference, professional hair and makeup can totally elevate your bridal look, plus it photographs flawlessly on camera (an important quality for the most photographed day of your life). This bride opted for beachy waves and bold, full glam makeup topped off with a red lip.

Says Courtney: “I’m a boho girl at heart so I loved how perfect the shoot came out, it was exactly how I pictured and planned out. But my favorite part is getting to mingle with all my vendors that have become friends and getting to meet and work with new talented vendors.”
