Explore the romantic blush and ivory details in Ashley and Patrick’s light and airy Houston wedding. In addition, Ashley and Patrick’s wedding contained Cajun/New Orleans traditions that we can’t wait to share! The sweet couple shared with us that within four months of dating, Patrick proposed in Breckenridge. While on the mountain, Patrick “fell,” and everyone slowed down. When Ashley turned to him, Patrick got down on one knee and proposed on the side of a beautiful mountain. How gorgeous is that! After a dreamy mountain engagement, the couple went through a pandemic together, planned a wedding, and now are happily married, sharing their gorgeous wedding with us!
Ashley and Patrick gave us the ultimate blush and ivory wedding filled with gorgeous blooms from Monica’s Brides & Touch of Glitz Flowers. The day began with Ashley getting ready with her best gals before their 2:30 pm ceremony. Ashley slipped into her stunning gown from Brickhouse Bridal with a natural beauty look from AH Specialties. This gown transitioned perfectly from a church ceremony to an elegant soiree. The stunning ivory and blush blooms lined the tablescapes with flickering candles inside the light and airy reception space. After dancing the night away with confetti cannons showering the dance floor, Ashley and Patrick included one more surprise for guests! The couple’s band performed a Second Line for their exit. Ashley and Patrick danced down the middle lines with traditional umbrellas to celebrate the couple’s Cajun/New Orleans heritage. The Second Line led the parade around downtown to the bar where Ashley and Patrick held their afterparty with bar bites, cocktails, and cigars for guests to enjoy!

One Thing Ashley and Patrick Learned While Planning their Wedding:
“Have a ‘wow moment’ for your guests. Every bride wants their guests to be wowed at every moment. However financially, that’s not possible for a lot of us. Therefore, having a select few bigger and more expensive items will still leave your guests with a few items they’re going to remember, since they won’t remember everything. Make what they DO remember is perfect versus going overboard and spending a lot of money on something you might not have needed or no one noticed.”
