Flowers and greenery cascading from suspended arrangements bring all the romance while twisting and turning glass tablescapes trimmed with gilded filigree make us feel like we’re at a royal wedding! Ivory and gold serve as a timeless color palette for this elegant Houston wedding but we love the royal pop of purple as a subtle accent color behind the altar setup as well as adorning the head reception table. A cream-colored five-tier cake from Cakes by Gina covered in breathtaking edible florals of all kinds surely knocked guests’ socks off, and when it tastes as good as it looks, good luck saving some for later! Taking to the dance floor, the newly married Akpomretas chose to incorporate a money dance for both bride and groom’s Nigerian heritage. The money dance, or money spraying symbolizes a showering of happiness, good fortune, and a display of the guest’s affection for the couple, and it helps to prosper the newlyweds in their marriage together! A luxury-filled affair doesn’t have to mean a boring one and this family knew how to have fun out on Moriam and Brume’s custom wedding dance floor! From the bride: “Our favorite moment was the first look. Because we had such a large number of guests, it was good for us to have a moment where it was just the two of us. The first look occurred in the hotel, I walked down the steps and Brume and was at the bottom. He greeted me with a rose and a kiss on the cheek, it was so romantic.”
