Use the Beach Orchid as Inspiration for Your Tropic Inspired Wedding

We love the idea of taking bits of wedding inspiration and running with them, and this beach orchid inspired wedding editorial is no exception! Waters Edge Venue was an obvious choice for the locale of this styled soiree and, just like its name hints, allows for vows to be exchanged while overlooking scenic Clear Lake. Bering’s creates a simplistic and chic invitation suite accented with muted coral details and matching scripted menus so your guests get the vibe before the big day, and so your event retains a feeling of consistency from start to finish. A glowy and pink-toned makeup look by Brittany Blanchard Beauty pairs perfectly with her floral-adorned updo and dreamy lace bodice “Lorraine” gown by Rebecca Ingram with beaded straps from EVOKE: the bridal experienceOrchids, buttercups and yellow gypsophila from Tin Cup Flower Co. make the most interesting tablescape florals to look at while staying on bright and punchy theme, just like this eclectic china and pale pastel pink linens from Bering’s. This beach orchid inspired wedding editorial, all captured by Wild Garden Photography in fresh, al fresco style, serves as the perfect dose of destination close to home. Read on for a note from the hair and makeup artist about the products used to create this model’s gorgeous look. Cheers!

From hair and makeup artist, Brittany Blanchard Beauty: “For Sophie’s ‘soft glam’ look, I really wanted her skin to be glowing, so I started with really great skin prep. (Great makeup begins with great skin prep.) For her foundation, I used my favorite foundation, Face Atelier, which hydrates the skin and has a heat- and moisture-resistant finish. I love this foundation because it has a built-in primer, a little goes a long way so skin NEVER looks cakey, and it blurs the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. A few other favorite products used to create this look were a combo of Huda and Anastasia of Beverly Hills eye shadows, Face Atelier lip gloss and Eyemimo cluster lashes. I exclusively use these lashes because I love to customize lashes to each clients eye shape as well as their desired outcome. They are also very wispy so they have a more natural look. For her hair, I wanted soft, tousled and romantic so we used plenty of Kenra Dry Texture Spray as well as a few wefts of hair extensions for volume. The added bonus of hair extensions is that it creates a great base for bobby pins which results in a more secure updo.”
