Ariane and Richard bonded on their first date over their love for travel, food and dogs. They were enjoying themselves so much the restaurant seemed empty. Later on, as Ariane was working as a labor and delivery nurse, Richard surprised her with an elaborate proposal. Her manager pulled her aside, and she was led to a walkway of red petals and a candlelit path. Richard was there waiting with her best friends and closest co-workers. He kneeled on the ground and asked her to marry him. Of course she said yes!

The couple married at a historic fire station, with Richard even sliding down the fireman’s pole for his entrance! They exchanged vows and performed their secret handshake, which remains a favorite memory. At the end of the night, the couple said farewell through a rainfall of confetti, climbed into a gorgeous white Rolls Royce and departed as Mr. and Mrs. Hooks.
