Bright, Bold and Luminous Wedding Inspiration from Events by Sarah

Don’t get us wrong – we love a classic white wedding, but when Mallery van der Horst from Events by Sarah made her Bold and Luminous vision become reality, the end result was everything we dream of when it comes to color. A visually stunning table scape from Plants n’ Petals featured cascading tulips, vibrant citrus fruits, and modern elements all atop a rustic wood table. Perfectly placed china from Bering’s added some garden glamour, also found in the custom invitation suite by Half Moon Lettering. And, did you catch the darling photo frame placeholders?! A classic cake from Cakes by Gina was suspended in the air, appearing as if it was floating on a cloud of the dreamy, tropical florals. The bride and groom were dressed for an elegant, outdoor evening in a suit from Q Clothier and classy gown from Unbridaled, accompanied by unique jewels from Uptown Diamond, and the bride’s beauty look was perfected by BP Artistry. Kelli Durham didn’t miss a single hue or festive detail when photographing this cheery spread that truly is bold and luminous. The gorgeous magnolia tree that served as an intimate wedding hideaway is located on the grounds of The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa, who also provided the pretty palomas – cheers to that!

From the planner, Mallery van der Horst from Events by Sarah, “I wanted to celebrate vibrant, bold colors and demonstrate how such colors can be styled in an elegant way. Citrus and farm wood elements are incorporated throughout the design as well, adding a more organic feel to the look. Throughout the design process, I pictured the couple I was designing for to be playful and daring. I imagined the space underneath the cascading illuminated tree to be almost like a secret hideaway from the rest of the world… a place that would radiate joy and create everlasting memories!”
