On February 10, 2017, my mom and I went to Galveston for what I thought was a girls weekend. As we headed to our beach house, my mom took an unexpected turn down a different road that led to the beach instead. I was so confused, but as soon as the beach could be seen, I saw Ryan standing there all dressed up and I instantly started crying. Ryan proposed to me on the beach in front of both our families, my best friend, and our dog Sophie. The next day all our friends came down to Houston to celebrate our engagement with us.

Fun fact about us: Ryan and I are both fraternal twins! He has a twin sister and I have a twin brother.
