This Corona Couple Is The Definition Of #PandemicPositivity!

Demetra and Torik are the absolute definition of the phrase #PandemicPositivity, and we couldn’t be more excited to share their sweet love story! After meeting each other on a cruise to Mexico over Memorial Day weekend two years ago, this couple wanted to carry that same aspect of their relationship over into their wedding day. Unfortunately, COVID-19 had other plans, and Demetra and Torik were forced to cancel their Memorial Day, Mexico destination wedding. But, armed with that #PandemicPositivity and unyielding determination, they obtained their marriage license and proceeded with an intimate ceremony of just them two and Demetra’s uncle presiding. Even though they weren’t near the beach, this couple decided to still have aspects of a destination wedding present, as starfish are featured in their invitation suite and soft, ocean blue hues are subtly featured throughout. If you’re needing a little positivity to get you through the pandemic, you’re not going to want to miss scrolling through this corona couple’s adorable wedding photos! Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Banks!

From the bride: “When a global pandemic hit and the world shut down, it could not keep us from honoring our love for one another and keeping our original wedding date. Armed with #PandemicPositivity and unyielding determination, we found a small courthouse nearly an hour from us so we could still obtain our marriage license. With most of Demetra’s family living outside of Texas, a micro-wedding was not in the cards. So, in the early hours on Saturday, May 23rd, with just the two of us and Demetra’s uncle presiding, we were able to say, ‘I do.'”
