This week, we had the privilege of catching up with Wayne from Well Groomed Man and Fred, our 2024 Book of Weddings cover groom, during our release event. Both of them shared fascinating insights into the custom tuxedos designed for Maggie & Fred’s wedding—a true testament to timeless elegance and personal touch.

The Vision Behind Fred’s Timeless Tuxedo

Wayne, the mastermind behind Fred’s tuxedo design, described the vision behind Fred’s tuxedo. “I knew Fred was going for more of a timeless, bespoke, classic style for his tuxedo and his entire wedding party. So we designed an off-white dinner jacket for Fred, complemented with black tuxedo pants, a white dress shirt, a statement black bow tie, and black tuxedo shoes. Fred is going to look at these photos 20 years from now and still be in awe of how he looks next to his beautiful bride.” Wayne’s attention to detail ensured that Fred’s look was not only stylish but would remain classic and impressive for years to come.

Fred himself reflected on the personal experience of working with Wayne. “It was just very important for me to make it more of an experience. So I was able to connect with Wayne very early on, discuss our vision, and explore ideas. We brought in all of my groomsmen, flew them into Houston for their fitting, and enjoyed some drinks together. It was just a great experience at Well Groomed Man. I couldn’t have asked for a better friend, partner, or vendor to help us with our wedding. Everything turned out perfect.”

The Wedding Day

The collaboration didn’t stop at the fitting. Wayne shared a memorable moment from the wedding day: “It was definitely a pleasure working with Fred and his guys. Even on the day of the wedding, we showed up and brought in the mannequin with Fred’s jacket draped on it. We styled the room to match the ‘flyness’ of all his guys. These were some extra caliber young men, and we wanted to ensure the setting of the day was just as exceptional for him and Maggie. Great clients, great friends, and a fantastic wedding day at Boxwood. It was amazing.”

From the initial design phase to the final reveal, Wayne with Well Groomed Man delivered exceptional craftsmanship and a personalized touch that made Fred’s wedding truly standout. The expert tailoring and attention to detail ensured that Fred’s custom tuxedo was not just a piece of clothing but a central element of a memorable wedding day. This collaboration highlights the importance of investing in high-quality, bespoke attire for your special day, blending timeless elegance with personal style. A well-crafted tuxedo can elevate your wedding look, leaving a lasting impression and creating cherished memories that will be celebrated for years to come.
