Joan and Jason’s mauve culture-infused wedding contained all of the elements that are near and dear to their hearts. The sweet couple met in January of 2019 through Bumble and quickly hit it off despite the freezing cold weather on their first date. A year later, Jason proposed during their hike at Buffalo Bayou Park! Because of Covid, they decided to keep their wedding on the smaller side to allow for more social distancing to be safe. Even though some family didn’t get to attend the wedding, they got to enjoy a small, traditional Chinese tea ceremony with their parents, in-laws and family. Sharing this intimate moment with the people the couple love most and being able to bring in details of their culture was one of the bride’s favorite memories from their special day.
Adorne Artistry kept Joan’s hair and makeup effortless to enhance her natural features and show her bubbly personality. The couple wanted to keep things simple when it came to decor, and Decor by Dulce did just that by adding elegant details in hues of mauve throughout Hughes Manor. Caitlin Rose Photography captured the wedding day just the way they had always envisioned with bright lighting and attention to detail that makes every photo that much more special. While the food was being served during the reception, the couple finally got to sit down together and enjoy a heartwarming moment. Feeling frozen in time, they had a full view from their sweetheart table to appreciate everyone they care about making it to their wedding despite the circumstances of our world right now.
