DeLanie and Dalton’s wedding at The Orchard at Caney Creek contained a colorful color palette and intentional details. The couple met back in the seventh grade at a Relay for Life fundraiser. Dalton overheard DeLanie singing and had to find out who it was. DeLanie said, “we locked eyes, and at that moment, we both knew it was all over.” The two fell entirely in love, and in July 2020, Dalton proposed while on a trip to the hill country of Wimberly, TX. At last, DeLanie began to plan the wedding she’d been dreaming of since she was twelve. DeLanie, who has a degree in event management, wanted to incorporate the values she and Dalton shared as a couple. Therefore, the couple chose to work with diverse and inclusive vendors that support marriage equality and would make sure that all of their wedding guests felt welcomed.

DeLanie and Dalton’s wedding day could not have been more beautiful full of their favorite colors, deep teal and purple. DeLanie grew up on a Pecan orchard; therefore, it felt fitting for the couple to host their big day at The Orchard at Caney Creek. Another important detail for the couple was the music during their outdoor ceremony. The prelude music included quartet covers of their favorite songs. In addition, Dalton, a big gamer, entered with the string quartet cover of the halo opening suite. After the ceremony, DeLanie and Dalton enjoyed a private meal while guests had a cocktail hour. Such a great way to include quality time before the reception. At the reception, the couple, eco-conscious, reduced the footprint of their big day by renting barware, cutlery, and china from Party Time Rentals. Finally, the ever-so-talented Rachel Driskill Photography captured all the beautiful details in DeLanie and Dalton’s big day for us to share. Scroll to see more!

DeLanie and Dalton’s Favorite Wedding Memory:

“My walk down the aisle was the most perfect movie moment. Our ceremony was set amongst the trees of the pecan orchard at The Orchard at Caney Creek. Right as our officiant cued Dalton to turn around to see me for the first time, the sun came out from behind a cloud and a Beyonce-like breeze picked up at just the right angle to softly release a few leaves as my Dad and I made our way to my almost-husband.”
