A dreary day made for a dreamy scene in this dusty blue beachside elopement inspiration from Harper Blankenship Photography and a team of Houston-area vendors. A tablescape in hues of blue set up beneath Murdoch’s Pier in Galveston featured touches of driftwood, muted azure tones and seashells, of course. Everything felt organic, romantic and natural, from the bridal gown and bridesmaids’ dresses, to the bride’s loose hairstyle and a loose, freeform bouquet. A three-tiered cake and macarons in a contrasting bright pale blue gave a few pops of color within the calmer palette. One thing’s for sure, this dusty blue elopement inspiration has us itching to breathe in the salty sea air and do a little twirling on the beach! Cheers!

From the photographer: “I planned this seaside elopement styled shoot on Galveston Island because I have always been a beach nut, and NEEDED to get my fill of the salty air and sandy beaches of my home state. I needed my favorite place in the world and my passion for photography to come together into something beautiful, fun and inspiring to brides who love the ocean as much as I do. During the planning process, I had always sort of imagined the sea foam and grey-blue colors being beautifully complemented by a cloudy day… so how lucky was it that we happened to have exactly that on the day of the shoot?!
In addition to my need to do some soul-quenching work with the sea, I knew that my portfolio was lacking diversity, which is how the most beautiful model, Kalisha, was discovered and featured as our gorgeous beachside bride. This shoot gives me all the feelings that I had hoped it wood, and makes me want to marry my sweet husband all over again just to have a seaside elopement like this one.”
