Elegant Café Brunch Wedding Inspiration Shoot by Bixler Events

With sunlight streaming through the curtains of a small café and an understated bridal look giving us all kinds of romantic vibes, we’re absolutely in love with this elegant brunch wedding inspiration shoot by Bixler Events. Captured by Katy Cox Photography at Backstreet Café, the first element that caught our eye was Petal Society’s overflowing organic bouquet making quite the statement! The florals paired beautifully with the model bride’s unique, ethereal dress in that oh-so-lovely shade of blush. Emily Hill gave the model bride a loose, billowing updo that looks effortless and timeless all at the same time, and the rest of the details did not disappoint. Buttercup Bakery knows that less can be more when it comes to beautiful cakes, and everything from the place settings and invitation suite to the sweet and scrumptious cookies has us yearning for more! This shoot combines everything we love about southern, romantic and understated elegance, giving us major inspiration for an intimate wedding or an elegant elopement. Be sure to read below to see what inspired the planner and photographer!

From the planner: “It has a springy vibe and was set up in the heart of Houston, Texas, at a small café. Alli, the planner behind the shoot, was inspired to set up this wedding when she had lunch with her family at the café. She was so impressed with the character of the place, envisioning a wedding here was a very plausible idea. Nestled in the middle of an oak tree-lined neighborhood, this old craftsman home-turned-restaurant is the perfect fit for intimate weddings, rehearsal dinners or even a farewell brunch to wrap up the wedding weekend.”

From the photographer: “We felt it was important to unravel the potential of the nooks and crannies Houston has to offer. We felt as though this elopement style is perfect for the bride who loves attention to detail but doesn’t want to sacrifice spending her most important day with only their closest family by their side. We choose a bold centerpiece made up of florals to show that it doesn’t take much to spruce up the place the couple has brunched at many times before. The vendor team involved hopes that this shoot can inspire future Houston brides to utilize the unexpected when shopping around for the perfect location to host their intimate elopement in the city.”
