Elegant Houston Wedding With A Nod To The Bride’s Lebanese Heritage

Planned by Sava Sipe with Two Be Wed, Danielle and Matthew’s elegant Houston wedding features influences from the bride’s Lebanese heritage in the most tasteful way possible! With touches of teal and opulent gold, these shrouded tablescapes are the epitome of luxury with plentiful greenery in the installations that cascade down from above them. A periodic table seating chart was even added for some whimsy and to reflect the bride and groom’s engineering careers! Bride Danielle looks absolutely radiant in a trailing V-neck gown from Mia Bridal Couture that makes her look like a queen, and the cherry on top of this look is the side-swept updo and simple bridal glam by Hey Lovely! Danielle says their reception décor took on an ethnic feel since she and her family lived in Singapore when she was younger. Her Lebanese heritage paired with her and Matthew’s shared love for travel helped Two Be Wed to create this unique wedding design. Royal white orchids accent the most elegant bridal bouquet – only a small portion of the large-scale romance in this Houston wedding. Danielle and Matthew led guests in a Lebanese dance song teaching everyone a dance typical of the culture called the Dabke, where everyone holds hands (before the time of COVID-19) and dances in a circle. So many memories were made in this wedding, and they were all captured beautifully on film by Reverent Wedding Films! Read on for a note from the bride about one of her favorite wedding day memories. Cheers to Danielle and Matthew!

From the bride: “Our favorite wedding day memory was unplanned and spontaneous. We were expecting to miss our cocktail hour since we didn’t do a first look and had to take all of our formal photos between the ceremony and reception, however, we had more free time than we were anticipating. Our wedding planner had the great idea to send us directly to the cocktail hour after our formal photos. All our guests cheered for us when we entered the room – it was a wonderful feeling! We got to see all the cocktail hour decor that we had specifically designed, such as our signature drinks, menus and the giant periodic table seating chart.”
