Over-the-top is one thing, but this English garden wedding is totally a Texas take on royal nuptials – all planned by the creatives at Two Be Wed! Natalie and Preston first met while working together on their volunteer shift at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. After talking when their shift was over, they realized how much they had in common and Natalie thought Preston was such a catch that she tried setting him up with a few of her friends! Thankfully, he never followed through because his sights were set on Natalie. Later that year, they went on their first date and she immediately knew he was the one saying he checked off all her boxes. They kept this up for a few weeks before meeting each other’s families and the rest was history! When it came time to pop the question, Preston planned a surprise proposal with family nearby where he got down on one knee, Natalie said yes, and before she knew it they were sipping chilled champagne out of a new set of Waterford crystal flutes engraved with “H” signifying the start of their journey to Mr. and Mrs. Hodges.
The pair registered at Bering’s among other fine retailers where guests got them some of the cutest artisanal goods perfect for furnishing their new home together. On the intimate and elegant wedding day, Natalie and Preston celebrated with 14 of their closest friends and family members in a delicate blush and cream soiree. Fifteen virtual bridesmaids helped soothe the bride’s nerves on a Zoom call just before the two tied the knot! Natalie walked down the aisle in a long-sleeved lace bridal gown reminding us so much of the very one Kate Middleton wore down the aisle, and her favorite memory was seeing Preston’s face as she made her way toward him. After they said “I do,” and the whimsical reception dining was through, it was a dance party on the lawn! Natalie and Preston busted out moves with their favorite people just before making their grand exit as husband and wife under a dazzling display of sparklers and surrounded by so much love that Reverent Wedding Films managed to capture in beautiful definition. Their intimate English garden wedding was a total hit! See it at the link below and read on for a note from the bride regarding just what she learned from the wedding planning process and what set her planner apart from the rest. Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Hodges!
