An Extravagant Wedding Inspired By “Crazy Rich Asians”

You might want to make sure you’re sitting down before perusing the breathtaking gallery of this extravagant wedding! Bride Casey described her and Jason’s wedding style as Lunar New Year-themed with inspirations from “Crazy Rich Asians” and we are nothing short of obsessed! Their East Asian heritage is very important to them, so they agreed it should be front and center for their wedding.

Casey looks absolutely radiant styled with timeless bridal makeup in subtle tones of pink and a romantic half-up style, both by the talented artists at Hey Lovely. Her look pairs perfectly with the dreamy off-the-shoulder gown she chose for this once-in-a-lifetime extravagant wedding. Florals galore in over-the-top installations steal the show in nearly every scene and bursting with dried palms and fresh blooms alike, this passionate palette of pinks, reds, and accenting gold seals the deal for us. Patterned tablescapes and gilded décor bring a rich elegance to reception seating where guests enjoyed a delicious meal followed by all sorts of treats, including one beverage booth that had partygoers obsessed! Read on for a note from the bride about this wedding detail that she and Jason loved incorporating into their big day. Cheers to the Lins!

From the bride: “A unique thing we added to our reception was a boba tea bar! Boba tea is something that Jason and I both love and it was invented in Taiwan, where Jason was born. We tried to incorporate little bits of our Asian heritage into our American-style wedding!”
