A Culture-Infused Wedding Full of Fairytale Grandeur

This wedding day couldn’t possibly be more full of fairytale grandeur, but the infusion of culture made it even sweeter for all involved. Before they were engaged, Falynn and Dakrin were on their way to their annual end-of-summer hiking trip to Norway. After the most challenging hike up Mount Slogen, the two finally made it to the summit where the groom completely surprised the bride with a proposal on the edge of a very narrow cliff. Dakrin still says their descent seemed effortless after she said yes.

Now, in their lush fall wedding of gold, ivory and greens, the couple was able to combine their wanderlust with stylistic details that would tell their love story for all their family and friends to witness. Bride Falynn looked effortlessly beautiful, styled by artists at Hey Lovely with a chic chignon updo, classic glam and a bold lip to walk unaccompanied down the aisle by her preference. Looking back, she says she could hardly wait to make it to her soon-to-be husband and remembers her now mother-in-law gesturing for her to slow down. She was simply stunning in a Mikaella by Paloma Blanca gown in style #2105 from Brickhouse Bridal, featuring clean lines, long sleeves, an elegant bateau neckline, and a lovely likeness to Meghan Markle’s royal gown. The groom’s Lebanese heritage also played a large part in their luxe affair. Falynn and Dakrin included three different musicians throughout the evening – a live jazz band, a live Lebanese band, and a live DJ just to have all bases covered. The music was a big hit and everyone participated in Lebanese dabke dancing, plus the bride and groom were hoisted into the air sitting on chairs. Their intricate wedding cake measured eight feet tall atop its display table and consisted of seven delectable tiers that the newlyweds sliced into with a sword. They made so many memories and exchanged some sweet words with guests before the new Mr. and Mrs. saddled up for an exit ride on a pearl white vintage Vespa! The talented Reverent Wedding Films captured every detail of their day so beautifully in a highlight down below. Read on for a note from the bride about her favorite wedding day memory and what made it so sweet. Cheers to the Dows!

From the bride on her favorite wedding memory: “The alone time we shared between the ceremony and reception (we did not do a first look). The two of us were just so ecstatic, we were able to take a deep breath and enjoy each other’s company as newlyweds. It was such a great feeling!”
