“Alex and I met at Texas State University in the most random way possible. My best friend and his best friend decided to move in together…as complete strangers. He was there helping them, I was there helping my best friend, and when we were introduced, I immediately thought, okay, he’s cute. Two years passed as mutual friends, hanging out in the same group, still not making the connection—until one night at a party. I made the first move, and suddenly, January 2020 became our official “we’re falling for each other” month. By March 2020, we went fully official, right as COVID hit. Quarantining together basically forced us to either figure out how to love each other or lose our minds. Spoiler: we nailed it. We learned to love each other, cope with each other, and keep each other entertained when the entire world was shut down. Six years later, we’ve grown together through job changes, long distance, life decisions, and three years living in a new city. We’re now engaged, and I can’t imagine anyone more perfect to laugh with, lean on, and love forever. Alex is my safe place, my home, and my heart. We cannot wait to get married in March 2027 and keep choosing each other every single day.”

“Camille and I met at Texas A&M Fish Camp in 2021, and from the very start it felt like one of those moments that was meant to happen. We were placed in the same small group because our birthdays are back-to-back, mine on May 2nd and hers on May 3rd, which immediately gave us something to laugh about and bond over. What began as easy conversations during camp quickly turned into a genuine friendship, and before long, we realized how naturally we connected and how comfortable we felt around each other. As we spent more time together, it became clear that our values, faith, and vision for the future aligned in a way neither of us had experienced before. Looking back, Fish Camp wasn’t just where we met, it was where God quietly began writing our love story, one that continues to grow deeper and more meaningful every day.”

“Anthony and I have been together since sophomore year of high school, and this year marks 11 years of loving each other. We’ve truly grown up side by side—witnessing each other evolve into better versions of ourselves, overcome challenges, and step into new chapters of life, both together and individually. From teenagers to the people we are today, our love has been a constant through every season. We got engaged in February 2025, right at the cusp of our 10 year mark, in one of our favorite places in the entire world—Hawaii. Anthony created the most beautiful moment on Ka’a’awa Beach, lining the shoreline with a trail of rose petals that led to a heart made entirely of roses. The moment I saw it, my heart sank, because I knew instantly—this was the moment. The moment our forever truly began. We were just two 16-year-olds who met by chance, never imagining that one day we’d choose each other for a lifetime. What started as a simple high school relationship turned into a love like no other. Choosing each other every single day has been the greatest gift, and I can’t wait to continue our journey for the rest of our lives.”

“We met through our families, who had actually known each other for 10-12 years! We did not meet until 2020 & knew we would be inseparable. He asked me to be his girlfriend by spelling it out with French fries on a table. 5 years later he proposed to me in Disney World!”

Kassie + Alexander

“Our story began in October 2016, standing in line at our high school’s rival football game. Alexander was a sophomore, I was a junior, and our first interaction was brief but memorable. As Alexander likes to tell it, I “demanded” that he hold face paint while I painted our friends’ faces. Later that night, he found me on Twitter and sent me a message, and from that moment on, we were inseparable. FaceTime calls turned into constant conversations, and on February 22, 2017, he asked me to be his girlfriend. What followed was four years of long distance while Alexander chased his dreams playing college baseball. Throughout it all, we chose each other again and again. I drove countless hours and miles to support him, learning early on that love is built through sacrifice, patience, and unwavering faith. Now, after growing up together from the ages of 15 and 16, we are building the life we once prayed for. We purchased our first home in December, and this February, on our ninth anniversary, we will finally say “I do.” By the grace of God, these kids are finally getting married.”

LaYauna + Robert

“Let’s rewind to October 23rd, 2018. Yauna remembers the exact date—not because she’s a walking calendar—but because her brother, Recardo, was in the process of joining a brotherhood organization at Sam Houston State University called the Exceptional Men of the Talented Tenth. Fancy, right? Now, for some context: yes, Yauna chose to attend the same college as her brother. Why? Because she loved the campus, it was close to home, and family has always meant everything to her—so it just made sense. Plus, they’ve always been tight like that. That day, Recardo was helping host a financial literacy event, and Yauna, being the supportive sister she is, showed up. That’s where she first saw Rob. He was just… there. Existing. Minding his own business. At the time, she thought nothing of it—mainly because she had a firm “Do Not Date My Brother’s Friends” policy but… “they didn’t know each other like that.” At the end of the event, someone mentioned an upcoming pageant called the Lady DuBois Pageant. Yauna stayed to listen, and while she was chatting with the pageant coordinator, she felt someone staring at her. You know that feeling? Like eyes burning into your soul? Yep—that was Rob. She turned, they exchanged that little “Heyyyy-I-see-you-but-I’m-playing-it-cool” smirk, and Rob came over to chat. Here’s where things got interesting. At the time, Yauna was a freshman, and Rob was a senior, just a few months away from graduating in December. Since she apparently looked older than her brother, Rob assumed she was a transfer student and couldn’t understand how he hadn’t seen her before. So naturally, he struck up a conversation. Yauna eventually signed up for the pageant, and guess who volunteered to be an escort? That’s right—Rob. He wanted to escort her, but she politely shut that down. She had already decided her brother would be her escort—family first (wink).  Still, she couldn’t deny that Rob was cute. And maybe—just maybe—she was playing a little hard to get. But at that point, she was focused. No distractions. Fast forward a few months of sweet persistence and good vibes later, and on July 28th, 2019, Rob officially asked Yauna to be his girlfriend. Now, they’re counting down to becoming The Spruells on April 13th, 2026!”

Sarah + Andy

Photography // J&D Photography
“Sarah and Andy’s love story unfolded in an unexpected way. They grew up in the same area, went to neighboring high schools followed by the same college, and yet somehow first met halfway across the country in steel-toed boots and hard hats, working side by side as engineers at a chemical manufacturing site. From the start, through their shared sense of humor and love for their alma mater, Penn State, they clicked effortlessly. Sarah was immediately hooked by Andy’s sharp sarcasm and wildly committed exaggerations—the kind that turn everyday moments into inside jokes. It took Andy a little longer to realize their connection was meant to be more than friendship, but along the way he came to love how Sarah challenges him, grounds him, and pushes him to be the best version of himself. What began as easy banter between two familiar strangers slowly grew into something deeper, built on laughter, mutual respect, and the comfort of finding each other exactly when and where it mattered.”

Taylor + Omar

“Omar and I met at Texas A&M university in 2019. Since my graduation we have lived together in Fort Worth, Texas with our sweet pup Astro and built a beautiful life with each other! In 2025 we got engaged in Lake Tahoe during a ski trip surrounded by family. Lake Tahoe is so special to us, as it was our first official trip together and will now hold a special place in our hearts forever!!!”
