Love Found A Way in this Intimate Backyard Corona Wedding
by Sara Haugland November 20
As proven time and time again in this season of weddings – love will find a way, as it did so beautifully in this intimate backyard corona wedding! Sarah and Edgar decided to postpone their wedding, but when their original wedding day approached, they knew they couldn’t let it slip by without getting married. The day before their previously scheduled wedding, they called their closest family and photographer, Ali Takes Photographs, and scheduled an intimate backyard corona wedding ceremony for the next day. While it wasn’t the big wedding they had planned, it still included some traditional elements, plus a few tears and cheers along the way! As Sarah said, “Friends and family said our ceremony was a light in this time of darkness, and I’m so glad that something so meaningful to us could also be so beautiful for others” – I mean, how much sweeter can it get? Scroll to take a peek at Sarah and Edgar’s intimate backyard corona wedding, captured by the amazing Ali Takes Photographs! Cheers to this corona couple!

From the bride: “We had decided to postpone after a few weeks of anxiety watching the news and having guests slowly messaging us about not being able to make it. So, we ended up postponing about two weeks before our original date. When it came to the Friday before our original date, Edgar and I decided we couldn’t just sit at home and let this day go by. We messaged some family and set up a backyard wedding ceremony at my brother and sister-in-law’s house. At 10 am on Saturday, March 28, 11 of us and our photographer joined to have a Zoom wedding ceremony. My brother, who was always going to be our officiant, made it official. We exchanged rings, kissed, cried and toasted with champagne. Through it all, I’m so glad we went through with it. Friends and family said our ceremony was a light in this time of darkness, and I’m so glad that something so meaningful to us could also be so beautiful for others! We still plan to have the whole shebang on October 3rd, and hopefully the traditional honeymoon afterwards. Proud to be a corona bride – love will find a way!”
