NASA Couple’s Rocket Park Engagement
Zachary and I met in middle school. We went to different high schools, but went to college together at the University of Kansas, both graduating in 2020 with engineering degrees. We started working full-time at NASA JSC following graduation, and we both feel strongly that we have some of the coolest jobs in the world! After being together for almost 9 years, I didn’t expect that I would be surprised by his proposal. And I was so wrong! I was getting dressed up for a dinner date and found a rose, a photo and a handwritten note telling me to meet him at Rocket Park. I arrived at an empty building with photos and roses placed down the length of the rocket, accompanied by handwritten notes about all of the life that we’ve already shared. At the end of the rocket, Zach was waiting for me with a ring! I can’t wait to marry my best friend in 2022, on our 10th anniversary, and to celebrate an out-of-this-world love!
