Prepare to swoon over Holly and Austin’s luxe al fresco wedding captured by Kelli Durham Photography. With a charming outdoor setup among the grounds of The Clubs at Houston Oaks and an incredible reception tent to welcome guests in from the rain, this was a celebration to remember. Holly looked stunning in her feathered gown from Casa de Novia, complemented perfectly by her cascading bouquet and greenery galore. White roses everywhere you looked brought an extra-luxe feel to the organically curated decor, from an elegantly decorated farmhouse table to lounge areas set up throughout the tent, creating a more intimate space for guests to mingle. Holly and Austin took exceptional care of their guests, treating them to dessert from Who Made the Cake, hand-crafted signature cocktails and an exclusive fireworks show to end the night. Rain or shine, Holly and Austin’s wedding was one for the books!
From the bride: “My wedding day was amazing. It was so fun getting ready with all my bridesmaids, house party and close family members. We drank lots of tea and water and took turns getting our hair and makeup done. My pastor came into the room before I walked out and said a prayer for us girls. I will never forget how much it meant to me.
The day was sunny and clear, yet when I started walking down the (outdoor) aisle with my dad, it started to sprinkle. By the time I had reached the altar, the sprinkling had turned into large rain drops! It was the most hilarious moment of my life! We quickly said our “I do’s,” and everyone stood up, cheered and high-fived as we all ran down the aisle to the covered tent! The candid photos are so funny! Looking around the tented space, everyone had huge grins on their faces with a “let’s party” mentality. It really kicked off the celebration perfectly. We all talk about it still to this day! The band had us on our feet the entire time (I personally went barefoot!), and Grand Bevy did an incredible job at making sure everyone had the most amazingly crafted cocktails.
Emily Moise, my wedding planner, was incredible at keeping the unexpected rain chaos at bay. She and her team grabbed as many hairdryers as possible and started drying my dress while it was on me. She also handed out towels to all the guests and wiped down the white dance floor to keep it crystal clean and not slippery throughout the evening. She and her team were amazing! Honestly, all my vendors were incredible, but a special shout out to my florist! We decided to have a tint put up last minute, which meant more flowers and greenery for the interior. They ended up having to hire more girls and gather more material, working all night to turn the tent into a garden. I will never forget everyone’s hard work!”
