We don’t think we’ve ever seen upscale elegance done quite like this! Brides Shawn and Darla celebrated their love in a luxe and intimate way that expressed both parties’ formal flair. The pair first met in 2005 when a group of their mutual friends went out and they ended up at the same spot. They started talking, hit it off, went out the next night for their first date, and have been together ever since! Later on down the road, Shawn and Darla planned a trip to Las Vegas for Darla’s birthday with close friends and family in tow. One day of the trip, with everyone in on the surprise, Darla set up their suite with food, flowers, champagne, and a musician that was playing what would be their wedding song. She surprised Shawn with the sweetest proposal, Shawn said it truly couldn’t have been more perfect! When they first got together, the pair didn’t actually think they would ever be able to get legally married. So, when their wedding day finally came in June of 2018, everyone was simply filled with an abundance of love and joy. Upscale elegance was in no short supply throughout their Houston wedding where florals in blush, ivory, grey and stately navy blue totally stole the show. Both beautiful brides were styled by the artists at Hey Lovely with flawless hair and makeup that perfectly complemented the wedding day looks that they revealed to each other for the first time on the day of! Every element came together like a dream and the newlyweds got to share it all in front of our family and friends! The end result of years of love and so much planning was a magical day neither bride could ever have dreamed of.
