Love at Sea
After meeting on a cruise that had left Galveston days before Hurricane Harvey hit, we became great friends quickly. After being stuck in the open ocean for two weeks, we went our separate ways only to be reunited when David asked me on a date two years later, and the rest was history.
As David tells it, knowing full well that this was the girl he wanted to be with for the rest of his life, he had planned out a proposal of epic proportions, knowing that he wanted to do it big! Originally planning to pop the question with a large crowd of friends and family at a private venue, his plans were thrown aside by a global pandemic that took the nation into a full shutdown. This lead David to plan an “anniversary shoot” for our friends, telling me that I would need to attend the photo shoot so that I could assist. In order to “get the lighting right” our friends had positioned me five feet in front of David, while he stood behind me on one knee. He proposed on April 1st, 2020, on top of a hill at sunset, safely socially distanced, and that’s when I said yes!
