Two worlds collide in this take on modern chinoiserie via gorgeous gilded wedding inspiration from Houston wedding planner Two Be Wed. A modern altar and aisle runner sets the theme for this wedding inspiration with a minimalistic version of chinoiserie, an ancient pattern hailing from the Far East and one that still works so romantically today! The delicate black design of the pattern lends itself to pops of black throughout the rest of the styled shoot, as well as deep tones of plum, teal green and pearly whites. Floral designs by Flower Vibes reflect the color scheme perfectly and bring drama to the gold and black tablescape topped with intricately curated place settings of Asian-inspired china from Bering’s. Dreams and Nostalgia‘s beautiful handiwork in the calligraphed invitation suite, menus and signage adds to the romantic vibes, while the model bride’s high-neck illusion lace gown from The Princess Bridal carries on the intricate floral aesthetic. A soft makeup palette and delicately tousled up-do by Etoilly Artistry keeps the focus on her natural beauty, captured elegantly along with the rest of the scene by Kelli Durham Photography. A jaw-dropping floating cake by the ever-talented Shelby Elizabeth Cakes was the finishing touch on this incredible scene. The gold-leaf detailing and the stucco-style icing are straight from a dream! We’re swooning over this entire modern chinoiserie scene and we know you will be, too!

From the planners, Natalie Dawley and Maya Hisse of Two Be Wed: “Inspired by the modernity of the Far East and romanticism of the West, two worlds were brought together by a beautiful palette of blush, dusty rose, pearl, chocolate, onyx and teal green.”
