Julie and Joshua met during their first semester in college. It wasn’t until she was a senior and he had graduated that they accidentally reconnected. By mistake, Julie texted the wrong Joshua, which led to a conversation that turned into much more! Soon after the accidental text, they started spending more time together and eventually began dating.

In the summer of 2015, Joshua had just moved back to Houston after living in New York City for law school and working for a Wall Street law firm. When he got back to Texas, he kept insisting on taking Julie camping but they couldn’t find the time. She put off the camping trip week after week – not knowing Joshua already had the ring! Finally, they found time to camp a couple hours north of Houston. Next to a crackling campfire under the stars, he asked her to marry him!
