Nicole and Abraham incorporated the bride’s family’s Chinese Traditions into their romantic summer floral wedding. The couple met in medical school, where they developed a strong friendship through their frequent study group sessions. Eventually, the study buddies turned into lovers, and the two began navigating their lives together. Abraham’s original plan was to propose on top of Machu Picchu. However, due to Covid, Abraham had to devise a backup plan quickly. Therefore, Abraham took Nicole to walk along Galveston Beach and scrolled through a photo album containing moments throughout their relationship. When the time came to pop the question, Abraham handed Nicole the phone and showed a picture of their cat, Luna, with the caption “Will you meowwy me?” Of course, Nicole said “YES” to marrying her best friend. After reality set in, the couple recruited help from R&J Events to help them plan their dreamy summer wedding.
Nicole and Abraham’s wedding day began with an intimate Chinese tea ceremony in their hotel suite. The couple served tea to the elder family members to show respect. In exchange, their elders gave the two marriage advice along with red envelopes with money in them, symbolizing good luck and prosperity. We love that Nicole and Abraham incorporated their culture and traditions into their big day!
Later in the evening, the couple had a traditional wedding ceremony. Abraham greeted Nicole at the altar wearing a handsome blue tux from Generation Tux, while Nicole looked gorgeous in a full skirt gown. After becoming the new Mr. and Mrs. Lee, the couple made their way to the romantic reception space filled with mauve-tone floral arrangements from Unforgettable Floral.
