For Mercedes and Benjamin, it was only a matter of time before their paths crossed as they lived across the street from one another during college. They officially met during a fraternity party where he asked for her phone number. From there, they spent the next few weeks getting to know one another and falling in love.
To celebrate Mercedes’ mother’s birthday, her father planned a surprise party for her – which was strange, because usually Mercedes and her sister are the family party planners. Despite this, Mercedes and Benjamin went to the restaurant only to discover her family was running late for the party.
