Pastel Pink Farmhouse Wedding Captured by Nicole Berrett Photography

Crossing soft, girly hues with a rustic yet contemporary barn venue, this pastel pink farmhouse wedding planned by Heather Benge Events is everything romantic and sweet, complete with a perfectly timed ceremony rainbow! Nicole Berrett Photography captured all of the sweet magic on The Farmhouse’s great green lawn and inside its chic, all-white wood setting. As a focal point of the decor, oversize blooms from Everly Alaine Florals in shades of peach, ivory, blush and bubblegum pink made for gorgeous displays as centerpieces, altar embellishments and bouquets for the bride and her bridesmaids. Even the sleek chandeliers were dressed for the occasion with overhanging greenery to match the table arrangements! Soft pastel pinks were woven into other tabletop decor details, like the gauzy blush linens from Swift + Company used on the Mr. and Mrs. seats and the dusty rose colored candle sticks to add an extra bit of flair to the lighting. The bridesmaids all wore dresses in the same shade of blush from Jenny Yoo for a perfectly pretty altar lineup! Cheers to the newlyweds and their spectacular day!

From the bride: “Blake and I first met on August 25, 2014, at a Houston First Baptist volleyball tournament with our life group. I didn’t know it at the time, but a few weeks before the tournament, Blake had seen me at MetroLive. And if you ask him yourself, he will tell you that when he saw me for the first time, he literally thought I had a beam of light shining down on me (…there is no way!). But being the Myers-Briggs guru that Blake is, he had already figured out exactly who I was and knew he wanted to meet me! A few weeks passed, and we both happened to get invited by mutual friends to go see an Astros game. For the majority of the game, I spent time catching up with my college friends, but towards the end of the game Blake and I somehow ended up sitting right next to each other. We started talking and before we knew it, we found out we came from similar pasts, family dynamics and shared the same priorities in terms of our faith, family and future. Then… the craziest thing happened! The very second we stopped talking and realized how much we had in common, fireworks started shooting off above us! Call it whatever you may, but to us, the fireworks felt like a sign that God was not done with the two of us yet!

The best thing I learned during the planning process which helped the wedding to be just a blast was to be present in every moment! Planning a wedding can be time consuming and stressful, budgets can go off course, you forget details and things don’t always go as planned. Just embrace it all and find joy in every step of the process! Your marriage is the most important part at the end of the day, and the memories you make with your vendors, friends, family, and your fiancé will be the ones you remember and laugh about for a lifetime. Stress and worry are just not worth it!”
