Heather and Kelly’s modern minimalist wedding is full of personalized details, lush greenery, and white blooms. The two met in 2015 after matching on the dating app Tinder. After both swiping right on each other, they had no idea that they lived on the same street a mile away. Heather and Kelly planned their first date at a nearby coffee shop, and after pulling up in the same car, they knew their future was written in the stars. In July 2020, Kelly proposed with a family heirloom ring her mother gifted her. In addition, Kelly planned a staycation with their two best friends and surprised Heather with a rooftop engagement and a sentimental ring. After sharing tears, smiles, and heartfelt words, it was an easy decision for Heather to say “yes” to forever. However, the most meaningful detail came when Kelly arranged for friends and family to join the engagement celebration over zoom due to the pandemic.
Heather and Kelly’s modern minimalist wedding is full of moments that made their special day feel personalized. The couple learned to toss out wedding traditions or details that didn’t serve them. After their tented ceremony, Kelly and Heather enjoyed a private dinner just the two of them while guests had a cocktail hour. That time together as a married couple, tucked from the chaos of the day, allowed them to reconnect and prepare for the party to come. After lots of dancing and celebration, Heather and Kelly made their grand exit tangled in white paper streamers and headed to their afterparty.
