Describe your photography style.
I’d like to say honest and authentic. I love capturing heartfelt moments that truly bring out the personalities of my couples. I genuinely believe that establishing a personal connection is one of the most important parts of being able to provide an unforgettable experience. Whether it’s kisses in the golden sun or dancing in a field of flowers, I strive to capture those raw moments that effortlessly happen. That’s what I’m after.
Tell us what you love most about being a photographer.
I love that it’s a reflection of who I am. I am able to create images through my own artistic eyes, and it’s the most rewarding feeling when your couple’s trust you. There is nothing I enjoy more than capturing the love and chemistry between two people. It fills my heart so much.
What has been a favorite moment you have captured?
My heart overflowed when one of my clients asked me to photograph their one-year anniversary session in the Smoky Mountains. It was inspiring being surrounded by so many beautiful sceneries and landscapes. It was truly one of those moments that really made me fall even deeper in love with photography.
Share your tips on engagement portraits.
I do recommend professional hair and makeup for the engagement session. I treat it as important as the wedding day itself! Some brides will even coordinate a practice run to get a better idea of what to expect on their big day. These images are perfect for save the date cards and displaying them at the wedding reception. We want to make sure we look our absolute best!
Any advice on keeping the wedding day running smoothly and on schedule?
Hiring a wedding coordinator is one of the best decisions a bride can make when planning their wedding. Not only will they be there from start to finish, but they will ensure that everything runs smoothly and stays on schedule. From helping with the wedding timeline and the chaotic day-of details, the coordinator is essential for a stress free wedding day!
