Houston couple Megan and Cullen’s romantic modern vineyard nuptials give a whole new meaning to the term “dream wedding,” all captured by the talented Alicia Yarrish Photography! In April 2019, Cullen had a dream in which he met an older gentleman with salt and pepper-colored hair. They talked about how it was time for him to pop the question to Megan. He proceeded to pull two things out of his pocket: a pair of tickets with a date on them and a ring. He told Cullen that the date on the tickets was the deadline for him to propose. Cullen awoke at 4 AM and frantically Googled engagement rings that looked like the one from the dream. When he couldn’t find one, he decided to have it custom designed from memory. He also called Megan’s grandmother to discuss the details of the dream, and the man he saw fit the description of Megan’s late grandfather, though he passed while she was a teenager and Cullen had never seen a photo. As it happened, the date that had been printed on the tickets was also her grandparents’ anniversary. All signs pointed to fate and the fact that it was time for the two to join in marriage!

After a romantic beach proposal, Cullen asked and Megan said yes! As they headed back to the car, they happened upon a dime on the ground. Since her grandfather used to always stop to pick up change, and especially dimes, on the ground before he passed, Megan’s grandmother has always stated coins on the ground were a sign from him and they should be picked up. To Megan, seeing it that day solidified what she already knew to be true – this was meant to be, and her grandfather was looking down on them. Cullen later regifted this dime to Megan on their wedding day along with an original, framed sketch of her custom engagement ring including a sweet note on the back. Their adorable gift exchanges kicked off the beginning of a beautiful wedding day filled with lots of love, live music, and a Lego Batman ice sculpture. Their reception scene looked simply divine as they kept tablescapes clean and modern, allowing focus on the natural beauty of the venue while rich burgundy blooms by Unforgettable Floral balanced with ivory petals on gold geometric stands draw the eyes upward. Their centerpieces were organic and greenery inspired and Italian Ruscus was draped across the back banister for a whimsical effect. From the custom wood signage that hung above the luxe couch in the venue foyer to the personalized acrylic place settings that awaited guests at each seat, this modern vineyard soiree was nothing short of a dream wedding. Read on for a note from the bride regarding her favorite wedding day memory. Cheers to the Donohues!

From the bride: “I think my favorite memory from the entire day was seeing Cullen for the first time right as we were about to start our vows. The officiant didn’t tell him to turn around until I was about halfway down the aisle and the look of awe and love on his face is one I will never forget.”
