Colleen and Bill first met in the world of online dating but soon realized how much they had and common, and that the love they had for each other was very real! Now in their romantic luxe wedding, the two made that love official with the support of family and friends traveling from far and wide to help celebrate the big day. All their guests had been vaccinated making for a safe, comfortable atmosphere and no COVID scares after the fact! The stately property of The Milestone Iron Manor | Montgomery made a breathtaking setting for the festivities that would unfold in their May wedding, all captured by the talented Swish & Click Photography in shades of blush, champagne and gold. Colleen looked radiant as ever in a ballgown silhouette that totally suited her romantic luxe wedding vibe, plus accessories from Brickhouse Bridal among others that all complemented her look perfectly. Before they knew it, it was time to say “I do!”
Colleen and Bill incorporated a few Irish traditions such as the “Make Up Bell” whose chimes are thought to ward off evil spirits and restore harmony if the couple is fighting. The sound of the bell, similar to that of church bells, is to remind the couple of their wedding vows – which we absolutely love! Our adorable newlyweds entered their romantic luxe wedding reception happy to be finally official, where they used Irish charms as plate markers and also had a harpist as more nods to their heritage. Their party people enjoyed eating the best foods, drinks and dancing the night away! There was even a photo op with alpacas dressed as bride and groom. As the night winded down, guests gathered for a grand exit just as magical and dreamy as the day that came before it. The Linklaters say it was all a fairytale come true! From the bride on her favorite wedding memory: “Our first look – it was very intimate and made some very emotional photos. It was such a great way to calm nerves prior to walking down the aisle because it gave Bill and me a few moments together. The rain held off as we read letters aloud to each other back to back! Once the letters were finished then we turned around to see each other! All the anticipation leading up to seeing Bill was totally worth it.”
