A Romantic Winter Wedding With Hints Of Gold Details

Amanda and Matthew’s intimate winter wedding at the White Oaks on the Bayou was filled with glorious gold details and so much love. The couple first met at a Halloween party. As soon as Amanda walked in, she made eye contact with Matthew and instantly felt a spark! They talked for the rest of the night like they had been friends for years, and the rest was history. Fast forward years later, they were celebrating Matthew’s birthday with a dinner at their favorite restaurant, The Melting Pot. The waiter brought out a plate with words written on it and she just assumed it said “Happy Birthday,” but as soon as she looked down she realized it said, “Will you marry me?” When Amanda asked why Matthew proposed on his own birthday, he replied, “You are my greatest gift.” Doesn’t that just melt your heart!

Friends and family came from near and far to witness their celebration of love. One the bride’s favorite memories from their romantic winter wedding was standing at the altar with her soon-to-be husband. According to the bride, she would lay in bed feeling so anxious to be standing there in front of all her friends and family, but as she walked down the aisle and stood there with Matthew, a sense of peacefulness came over her. As you scroll below, you won’t be surprised to see the details are just as lovely as the couple’s story. Enjoy!

From the bride on her most helpful vendor: “I could not have imagined my day going as perfect as it did without Jessica Richter. From the moment I reached out to book her, to even days after my wedding, she was there to help me every step of the way. It took so much stress off of me and allowed me to enjoy the moments and not worry about the small things. A wedding coordinator was not something I thought I needed, but I was so wrong! I will always be grateful for her – she was absolutely amazing!”
