With a mix of soft lavender, popping purples and a green foliage backdrop, Meredith and Steve’s rustic elegance wedding coordinated by Plan Our Day at The Woodlands Country Club is the picture perfect epitome of a modern romance wedding theme. With the ceremony set outside overlooking the pond, an aisle decorated with wooden barrels and lanterns lead to the bride and groom who stood under a white-washed wood altar arch. Kasey Lynn Photography captured the sweet moments of the evening from altar to reception, beginning with the bride and her bridesmaids all in looks from Whittington Bridal. The bride’s strapless sweetheart gown was perfectly complemented by her bridesmaids’ lavender-hued gowns and simple bouquets of fresh white roses from Striking Stems. The bride chose a beauty look of soft waves pinned in a half up-do and soft and simple makeup from Adorne Artistry were a natural fit for the whimsical setting. Inside the reception, dark wood architecture, tables and chairs were contrasted by a mix of ivory and lilac hued florals and dozens of candles to create the most idyllic setting for the couple to celebrate their love story! From the bride: “Our wedding day was magical, meaningful, and hands down the most fun I have ever had! The rustic touches of lanterns and barrels and soft romantic florals set off the lakeside ceremony location and lush greenery of the golf course. The ceremony was beautifully framed by a breathtaking rustic chapel arch that i absolutely fell in love with. Our guests signed a rustic bourbon barrel guest book, and the reception space was completed with farm tables lined with greenery and candles, and a monogram cast onto the soaring fireplace, with mantle draped in greenery and florals. Seeing it all come together, thanks to my wonderful vendors, was absolutely incredible!
We made sure to incorporate many personal touches to help our guests feel connected and to remind us of all of our favorite memories. Golf is important to both Steve and my family, so we incorporated that through personalized golf tee favors, and the groom’s cake which was a replica of the 13th hole at Augusta National, to commemorate our 2016 trip to The Masters. Our other favors were pralines from Brennan’s of Houston, where we had our first date and rehearsal dinner. We also included a college song for each of us to relive college times with our friends on the dance floor! And additionally a slideshow of pictures of each of us with almost every guest in attendance. The entertainment provided by LG Entertainers, and the service provided by The Woodlands Country Club were spectacular and kept our guests having fun all night long! We could not have been happier with such a magical and memorable night surrounded by all of the people we love most!
