Morgan and Nathan’s love absolutely radiates joy in this summertime engagement session from Hayden Jordan Photography. With an open field near the Stella Hotel as their setting, Hayden kept the backdrop of these photos super chic and simple as to keep the focus on the couple’s smiles – are they not just beaming with happiness? We love how the bright, warm light matches their sunny dispositions and how Hayden used black and whites to capture a few more emotional shots. This sweet couple will tie the knot in October and we know they cannot wait! Scroll down to see all the precious photos and read their oh-so-sweet proposal story – such a thoughtful groom! Cheers to Morgan and Nathan!

How did he propose? Nathan just did so good. I was told many weeks prior that my family was going to be taking family pictures the weekend of March 21st. Originally, Nathan was planning to spend the weekend with my family and me; however, a week prior, he told me that his family had decided to stay with his grandparents in Houston. I was honestly sad, as it had been a couple of weeks since I had seen him and with long distance, I had been counting on that weekend for a while. But we had planned to see each other another time, and I was honestly glad he wouldn’t have to sit through us taking family pictures!
The morning was pretty simple, and then we got all dressed up and went to The Springs venue in Magnolia. We took some of the whole family, and then as I was taking pictures with my mom, I turned around to find Nathan all dressed up, holding a beautiful bouquet of flowers. At first, I was just in shock and thought he was surprising me since I was supposed to originally see him that weekend anyways. But then, I turned to see his family standing behind him, and that’s when I realized what was happening. My mouth dropped and then Nathan began to say some very kind words which are now a blur. He got on one knee, handed me the bouquet, asked for my hand and then asked me to marry him. In complete shock and excitement in a very Morgan-like fashion I said, “Yeah!” Now my hand is forever adorned with the most beautiful ring that I still catch myself completely in awe at. Then, we took pictures all together, because soon our two families will become one. It was the absolute sweetest. We then drove home to a surprise engagement party, where we got to hug all of our favorite people and call those who were not able to make it. It was absolutely a day worth celebrating, and Nathan and I felt immensely loved through it all. The Lord has truly been so faithful through our amazing journey, and He is just too kind to give me Nathan Elam as the man who is to lead me for the entirety of my life.
