Channeling the traditions of romantic Mexican architecture and decor elements, we’re swooning over the details in this Spanish inspired shoot from Belle Events. With the charming old-world chapel at The Clubs at Houston Oaks at the center of the setting, Josh & Dana Fernandez Photography took advantage of both the sprawling green landscape outside and the dramatic wood-beam and stone interior for optimal thematic photo opportunities. Bougainvillea blooms from Bramble & Bee were the ultimate play on Spanish charm in bright splashes of fuchsia and red and paired well with orange and light pink florals in the table arrangements and model bride’s bouquet. The infusion of bright blue hues in Mexican tile-inspired place cards from Nib and Pixel brought a truly authentic feel to the aesthetic of the scene, and perfectly matched the scrolling stamped pattern on the cake from Buttercup Bakery! From the photographer: “The inspiration behind this shoot was from a single image taken in Mexico, which was of a dusty blue door, cobbled street and an overgrowth of bougainvillea naturally creating an arch over the entrance. Naturally, we incorporated bougainvillea as a main floral element while adding in touches of blue and natural stone to bring it all together. The blue was highlighted beautifully by Nib and Pixel’s hand-drawn invitation suite and escort cards to the stencil design on the cake. Our main architectural element was the chapel at The Clubs at Houston Oaks. Since the chapel by itself is absolutely breathtaking, we only added touches of bougainvillea to bring in a small element of the design of the shoot. Everything from the florals to the gown was brought together perfectly and truly made our ideas come to life. We loved it so much that if we renew our vows, we would want it to look just like this! “
