Week after week, our team receives and showcases stunning weddings from across Houston, all courtesy of the immensely talented wedding vendors and lovely couples who submit to us. Each month, our editorial team selects one spectacular wedding to highlight, one that stands above the rest for its uniqueness and beauty.

For February’s Vows that Wow, we’re featuring an elegant and timeless wedding. Exposed brick, black and white attire and classic florals mark Connie and Kyle’s late autumn affair.

How the Couple Met

Connie describes her and Kyle’s encounter as a modern-day love story. While attending Texas A&M University, Connie hit the bar with a friend who, at the time, was dating Kyle’s brother. While chatting, the two women were approached by Kyle’s brother, who told Connie he was 6’7, a great guy and that the two needed to meet.

Kyle’s brother then proceeded to FaceTime him, giving Connie a chance to say a quick hi before the two followed each other on Instagram. After a year of online acquaintanceship, Connie took a chance and slid into his DMs.

As they say, the rest is history. The couple married on December 1, 2023.

The Wedding Day

Before the day’s main event, Connie, her mother, mother-in-law and bridesmaids got ready with plenty of tunes and a delicious lunch to carry them over until dinner. Before she knew it, the time came for her to get dressed. With help from her mom, she slipped into her gown from Brickhouse Bridal, which shimmered with delicate beading and glitter.

Connie and Kyle tied the knot surrounded by family, friends and floor-to-ceiling windows. Their venue, Iron Manor, provided a lovely backdrop for the couple as they shared vows and said “I do.”

At their reception Monica’s Brides & Touch of Glitz & Glam Flowers brought the couple’s vision to life with stunning floral arrangements both on tables and hanging from chandeliers! “After pictures, I walked into the reception space and cried from how beautiful it all was and how everything I envisioned had come to life,” writes Connie.

The newlyweds and their guests enjoyed a meal catered by Iron Manor before hitting the dance floor, where anyone and everyone was busting a move and rocking a sparkly cowboy hat.

Connie & Kyle’s Favorite Moment

“Every one, and I mean every one, was on the dance floor thanks to the band. My husband also loves Creed, so the band played their music and my husband and his brother went on stage and sang it with them! At another point I looked around and cried happy tears from all of our favorite people being together and having the best time. We had light up cowboy hats for everyone, even our grandparents were dancing with them on!”
