Vows That Wow — Mariah & Drew
Week after week, our team receives and showcases stunning weddings from across the region, all courtesy of the immensely talented wedding vendors and wonderful couples who submit to us. Each month, our editorial team selects one standout celebration to highlight, a wedding that rises above the rest for its beauty, intention, and timeless appeal.
For July, we’re featuring Mariah and Drew’s timeless wedding at Sandlewood Manor. Blending classic elegance with fresh spring details, their day was filled with lush florals, meaningful personal touches, and unforgettable moments shared with family and friends. From the soft green palette to a quiet last dance at the end of the evening, every part of their wedding day reflected what mattered most to the couple.
The Wedding Day
After kicking off the weekend with a rehearsal dinner at The Woodlands Country Club, Mariah and Drew’s wedding day unfolded with timeless style and so many meaningful moments shared with the people they love. With planning and design by Arianna Giselle Events, every detail came together seamlessly, allowing the couple to be fully present throughout the day.
Inside the ceremony, guests were welcomed into a bright, romantic setting filled with lush arrangements of white blooms and fresh greenery. Mariah looked stunning in a timeless lace gown with delicate off-the-shoulder sleeves and a cathedral-length veil, while Drew complemented her look in a classic black tuxedo accented with a blue floral boutonniere.
Following the ceremony, guests gathered for cocktail hour where they enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres from Essen Catering while exploring a custom “Find Your Team” seating chart before making their way into the reception. Sandlewood Manor kept guests refreshed throughout the evening with full bartending service, creating a welcoming atmosphere from cocktail hour through the last dance.
As guests entered the reception, they were welcomed into a fresh, garden-inspired space filled with patterned sage linens and table lamps. Custom paper goods, monogrammed cocktail napkins, elegant menus, and personalized signage added thoughtful touches throughout the reception, making every detail feel intentional.
Dinner by Essen Catering featured an elevated menu that brought everyone together before the evening shifted into a lively celebration. Later in the night, burgers and fries made the perfect late-night surprise, giving guests a second wind before heading back to the dance floor.
Mariah & Drew’s Favorite Moments
While there were countless moments they’ll always remember, Mariah and Drew’s favorite came after the dance floor had come to an end.
“One of our favorite wedding day memories was sharing a private last dance together after all of our guests had left,” Mariah shares. “After such a joyful and busy day, it gave us a quiet moment to soak it all in… just the two of us.”
With the reception room now empty, they reflected on the day, admired the beautiful space one last time, and celebrated the beginning of their marriage together. It was a peaceful ending to a day filled with so much joy.
Advise for Future Couples
Looking back on the planning process, Mariah encourages future couples to take everything one day at a time.
“One of the biggest things I learned while planning my wedding was to take it one day at a time. It’s easy to get caught up in every little detail, but at the end of the day, your guests won’t know what was originally planned or what changed.”
She also credits much of the day’s success to her wedding planner, Arianna.
“We honestly would have been so lost without her. She kept everything organized, handled the details we never would have thought of, and made the entire planning process feel so much less overwhelming. On our wedding day, she made sure everything ran seamlessly, allowing us to be fully present and enjoy every moment.”
