Meaningful Moments

Jordan and Jacob’s Jewish culture and heritage played an integral role in their wedding celebration. Rabbi Dan Gordon led their ceremony, playing a pivotal role in ensuring that both the couple’s Jewish and non-Jewish friends and families felt included and understood the significance of each tradition.

Rabbi Gordon guided Jordan and Jacob through the seven Jewish blessings, known as the Sheva Brachot, which symbolize the seven days of creation and the foundation of a new creation — their marriage! “It was a profound experience to hear these blessings in both Hebrew and English, as Rabbi Gordon eloquently explained their meanings to our guests,” writes Jordan.

In addition to the blessings, Rabbi Gordon led the pair through the traditional Jewish wedding vows, both in Hebrew and English. By speaking the vows in both languages, guests were able to fully appreciate the depth of Jordan and Jacob’s promises to one another.

The Wedding Day

Jordan and Jacob’s wedding was one for the books! Set against the backdrop of historic Lott Hall, the couple shared vows in an outdoor ceremony. Early spring weather permitted the pair to host guests outside for both the ceremony and reception.

The Robertson’s wedding decor and rentals from Provision Events Texas were bright, fresh and organic, complementing their alfresco space. From a checkered dance floor to vintage table lamps to velvet blue chairs, the ensemble exuded a whimsical yet luxurious garden party.

Thanks to Royal Dukes Band, Jordan and Jacob had no shortage of tunes to carry them through the reception! As the sun set, the couple and their guests enjoyed cake and dancing before sending the newlyweds off with sparklers.
