The 2026 Wed Society® Houston Connect Event brought together some of the city’s top wedding professionals for a morning of creativity, community, and candid industry conversation. Hosted at the stunning Sandlewood Manor, the space set the perfect tone — welcoming, beautiful, and ready for connection.
More than a networking event, this was a curated morning built around collaboration, celebrating Houston’s incredible vendor community, and taking an honest look at the future of the wedding industry together.
A Look Inside the Event
Setting the Scene
From the moment guests walked in, Sandlewood Manor set the tone for the morning — light bites from LaRue Culinary were beautifully displayed on mirrored plates throughout the room, and Sandlewood Manor kept things flowing behind the bar with signature drinks and a dirty soda station that quickly became everyone’s favorite detail. A glam bar hosted by Stylist & Co. gave attendees a chance for a quick touch-up before stepping in front of the camera with Kate Gulledge Creative for fresh headshots and candid moments from the morning.
The overall design vision came courtesy of Ashley’s Visions & Productions, who carried a bold blue palette throughout the space with intentional, layered details. Blooms by Mela brought the florals to life, Premiere Events grounded the layout with rentals and linens, and India’s Crafts & Creations tied the look together with custom welcome signage, bar displays, and a vinyl panel backdrop. Elevated AV Productions handled staging, flooring, and production, while Atilano Wedding Productions captured video and candid mini-mic interviews and Clip Cheri by K documented behind-the-scenes moments in real time. And no one walked past the dessert display from The Flour Petal Bakery without stopping — that bright blue tiered cake was the centerpiece moment of the morning.
The Panel: The Future of the Wedding Industry
Natalie (Two Be Wed), Mike (Elevated AV Productions), and Delores (Premiere Events) sat down for an honest conversation about where the wedding industry is headed. A few themes that kept coming up:
- Couples are booking faster and expecting more personalization at the same time
- The vendors thriving are intentional about what they take on
- Strong vendor relationships still make all the difference behind the scenes
- Reliability and responsiveness are what get you recommended
The Trends Worth Knowing
We asked our partners to write down their favorite wedding trends they’re seeing right now — and a few things kept rising to the top.
- Guest experience is leading. Interactive food stations, late-night bites, cocktail towers, and elevated bar moments are becoming a bigger part of how couples think about their reception.
- Design is getting bolder. Rich color palettes, moody tablescapes, draping, and unexpected layouts are showing up everywhere — with a lot more personality than before.
- Personalization is the priority. Couples want their wedding to feel like them — unique details, flexible structure, and experiences that go beyond the expected.
Until Next Time
This event is about one thing: community. A morning to step away, reconnect, and be reminded that the best work in this industry is done together. To our panelists, sponsors, and every guest who joined us — thank you for making it what it was. 💙
