Nautical Wedding Inspo Featuring Parlor Vibes From Two Be Wed

In a quaint Galveston mansion with traditional, vintage parlor vibes, Natalie Dawley of Two Be Wed brought an incredible nautical scene to life with inspiration for any eclectic bride! With mixed metals, copper, leather, wicker and jute, texture is the name of the game in this darling scene, from the linens and dinnerware from Swift + Company to the vintage lounge chairs from Oliver and Penelope and the stationery from Dreams and Nostalgia. While the rest of the vignettes bring more of a masculine tone, the bride’s aesthetic stays as feminine as ever with a soft A-line gown from Brickhouse Bridal, dewy and romantic makeup and hair by Butter Artistry and an incredible bouquet with coordinating hairpiece from Edges Wild Studio. To top off this gorgeous day, Becca Cakes made a regal geometric cake that juxtaposes well with its sleek lines next to loose, organic florals. Captured by the wonderful Josh and Dana Fernandez, this scene full of vintage parlor vibes reminds us that personal details, hints of character and a bold color palette make for a memorable day! Cheers!

From the planner, Natalie Dawley of Two Be Wed: “The inspiration for this design came from a mutual admiration of a landscape at sunrise that Edges Wild and I experienced on our individual travels. The scene reminded me of a paint-by-number painting with shades intermixing and flowing into the other. The color palette of dusty rose, soft salmon, olive green, mustard yellow, sea-foam blue and purple mountain evoked an early 70s parlor vibe with the kind of textures and patterns found in a Sherlock Holmes episode or a Wes Anderson film. Carr Mansion was the ideal location for this shoot with all the inherent character, woodwork and exquisitely decorated spaces.”
