When Lean On Me Events was tasked with designing an anniversary photo session for Tawny and Jerad, she set to work bringing our colorful wedding inspo dreams to life with this whimsical desert anniversary shoot! Set in the mountainous landscape of Marfa, Texas, this couple’s two-year milestone was encapsulated with the dreamiest, sunkissed photography by The Cotton Collective. Tawny was dressed for the occasion in a boho, lace sheath gown from Lovely Bride along with complementing braided ‘do and gemstone-esque jewelry. Drawing inspiration from the desert setting, F. Dellit Designs used cactus, succulents and protea in her florals designs which adorned both Tawny’s bridal look and the tablescape that sat overlooking the rocky terrain. A Fine Flourish completed the place settings with terracotta place cards and added an illustrated cactus invitation suite that couldn’t have fit more perfectly with the setting. No celebration is complete without tasty treats, and Wink by Erica obliged with the most adorable mini unicorn cake and matching macarons! Perhaps our favorite detail, though, was the incredible balloon garland Cake and Confetti styled, making for a fun-filled prop and photo backdrop for Tawny and Jerad! From the planner: “Jerad and Tawny have been married for 2 years and wanted to celebrate the joyful milestone with a photoshoot that reflected their upbeat personalities while still keeping it intimate. They chose the expansive desert of Marfa, TX where it’s mountain ranges surrounded them in a private and intimate setting. Their one request: color, lots of color. This colorful desert shoot turned out to be absolutely breathtaking.
In designing the photoshoot we chose bold colors such as terracotta orange, bright pinks, and an emerald green which complimented Tawny’s eyes beautifully. Drawing inspiration from the desert setting itself we incorporated lots of cactus, succulents, and protea in the floral. In keeping with the boho feel, Lovely Bride provided the perfect dress to fit Tawny’s personality and the overall look we were going for. To honor the couple’s original request of vibrant colors, Cake and Confetti styled a super fun balloon garland. And let me tell you, having this gorgeous couple in front of the bright garland with the mountains in the background is what dreams are made of!”
