Danica Jimenez and Garrett Wenzel’s blush tones, gold accents, and luscious greenery make up their rustic wedding with a modern twist. The two said, “I do” at Arrowhead Hills, where they have onsite cottages where the couple and wedding party stayed. Danica and her bridesmaids spent the morning getting ready and having fun! However, as the ceremony drew closer, Danica heard that Garrett was shedding happy tears. Garrett was so excited about their first look that he could not hold back the tears. Little did he know the surprise Danica had waiting for him. Danica had one of the groomsmen dress up in her wedding dress for the first look. Absolutely hilarious! Danica said, “I loved this because it helped calm his nerves and relax him.” Afterward, Danica and Garrett had their special and sentimental first look. Garrett was in awe as he looked at his beautiful bride. Danica wore a gorgeous gown and accessories from Brickhouse Bridal and an effortless beauty look from Honey, Bee Lovely Beauty. Her entire bridal look had us in awe too!

Danica and Garrett’s ceremony contained heartfelt vows that the couple wrote themselves. Danica said, “our ceremony truly felt like it was just us two in the entire world saying our own vows to each other.” How incredible is that! After the two officially became husband and wife, all the guests made their way into the reception space. Inside, the rustic venue space was met with modern decor full of blush tones. However, one of our favorite details of Danica and Garrett’s wedding has to do with something a bit sweeter… a dessert bar from Alchemy Bake Lab! We love a dessert bar with the addition to the traditional wedding cake! And we know the couple’s guests loved this added feature as much as us. Finally, after lots of sweet treats and dancing, Danica and Garrett shared a final dance just the two of them before making their grand exit. “When the ceremony was over, we had a second to refresh, sit down, have a cocktail and eat in the bridal suite. Small and seemingly unimportant moments are what grab me and burn into my memory. It was quiet, just like a dinner date at home. No pressure, no eyes, and nothing but my now wife and I. It has been Danica and I for so long, but when I get that quiet time and can stare into her beautiful soul, I just get lost in amazement. We cracked jokes, laughed about our mistakes during the ceremony, and were ourselves.” – Garrett
