Ballet-Inspired Wedding Editorial with Dreamy Garden Details

There are few things more beautiful than combining refined elegance and outdoor serenity for a ballet-inspired wedding editorial full of abundant garden details worthy of an Edgar Degas painting. Influenced by the dancer’s movements, this wedding editorial tells a story of ballet-inspired romance – featuring a bride whose dance is the perfect blend of intimacy, grace and movement. She poses in both flowy gown and traditional tutu with a whimsical bridal bouquet created by Flora + Fauna and made up of blooms just as bubbly and bright as the rest of this styled scene. Fine china, gold flatware and crystal bring a touch of luxe to the outdoor reception scene, while full, garden florals make for lush table centerpieces that we could stare at all day long. The pros at Etoilly Artistry styled our stunning bride model with an elegant, loosened take on the ballerina bun as well as clean, simple bridal makeup that enhances but doesn’t outshine her poised performance. There are so many points that pique our interest throughout this ballet-inspired day so scroll a little further to see them all for yourself and read on for a note from the planner about the inspiration and grand vision behind this ballet-inspired wedding editorial. Cheers!

From the planner, LNC Weddings + Events: “This editorial shoot was inspired by Edgar Degas paintings and romantic-era ballet, and with a ballet background myself, it was further inspired by a ballet called ‘Les Sylphides.’ I was specifically inspired by that piece because it was created in the 20th century (not the romantic era) but drew inspiration from both romantic-era ballet, and modern dancer, Isadora Duncan. The piece was a modern take on romantic and classic style – which was exactly what I wanted this shoot to be. I also wanted to reimagine the way a bridal look could be modeled and portrayed, and with this design concept in mind, it was very important to have a professional dancer to model. We were fortunate to have McKhayla Pettingill of the prestigious Houston Ballet (corps de ballet artist) for this ballet-inspired shoot.”
